Assuming you were going to the end of the parking lot, as if you were going to a store of some sort, wouldn’t the same efficiency be had by walking to the end of the row and then crossing thus avoiding cars entirely?  You would end up with the blue line, only reversed.  Same distance covered.  Those who choose the red line are weak! afteranafternoon: shlewkin: I agree with this.
